January Board Update

27 Jan

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2023

Papakura City FC is continuing to make changes to best align with NZ Sports best practices, and in doing so have created several new programmes. To help with these programmes we have some great coaches and new staffing announcements that will be released over the coming weeks.

An exciting new phase is our Youth Aspirational and development stages, that will see U13s/U15s/U17s Mixed and U16 Girls trial for positions that will encourage those Youth members wanting a higher challenge point, a fantastic opportunity to do so. This plan will be revealed in the coming week and expressions of interest need to be directed to Ravi at dof@papakuracityfc.org.nz

We will see the PCFC Skills Centre continue for ages 5 - 12 starting Wednesday 1st Feb with the Auckland City FC Girls Skills Centre starting Wednesday 8th February. For session times and to register please refer to the club website

Our Kura Kicks and Small Whites have moved to a term-by-term format which will provide more flexibility for families.

Registrations will open by the end of February.

Our National Women's Futsal team will take centre stage in February, as we represent the entire Northern Region in the National competition, our media team will be live from the venues. Please tune in and watch this amazing game, it's the fastest growing game in Europe for a reason.

Mens Premiers, Under 23s and Development planning, is well underway, already huge interest in this area, and with the resources available to the group we are excited to see how the season unfolds.

We are aiming to have representation in the Women's Community space this year with a Div 2 team, as we continue on with our strategic plan around growing numbers and depth in the Junior and Youth game, to support the club's transition back to a reputable standing in the senior spaces.

Clubrooms, well it certainly has been a demolition job, I wouldn't race down to see the works that are underway, but this is still one of the club's priorities to get this back open and available to members, the transformation is expected to be completed by the end of February and our facilities team is working hard to meet that deadline.

We look forward to updating you in February.
