Juniors - born 2010 - 2013


Trainings take place at McLennan Park.

Game Days (Saturdays) teams travel around South Auckland / Franklin area for away games and play at McLennan Park for home games. Game times usually range from 9am - 10am but can vary depending on where the game is being played.


Term 2 & Term 3 - Winter Season 

U11s & U12s teams are at capacity. Please email admin@papakuracityfc.org.nz to be placed on a waiting list

Players will have been allocated into their playing teams. A volunteer from the parents in a team may be required, support for coaches will be available from our Junior Development Officer, Scott Derrick and coaching resources provided.

  • shinpads (compulsory for safety)
  • long royal blue socks 
  • royal blue soccer shorts
  • boots (no metal sprigs)    
  • Playing shirt (provided by the club for the season - please only wear this for game days not trainings and please take care of it)

These items can be purchased through our club shop (which is the best place to find the smaller sizes), the Uniform Shoppe in Wood Street, Papakura or Stirling Sports Papakura.

Club merchandise such as hats, beanies & umbrellas are available from the bar when open. Club jackets and hoodies etc are also available through the club shop.


Once registered you'll receive email updates about group training starting, team allocation and season draws once they are confirmed.

A parent's information evening for U9s will be held before the season starts to go over how the Junior sector works, how to set up your field for home games etc. A "Good Sports" session may be included in this evening or scheduled for another time.


Coaches will set their own requirements for pre-game arrival but generally players should arrive at least 30 minutes before the game to find their field and to go through a warm up with the coach.

General communication will be emailed and posted in the Junior Facebook group (Junior & Youth Facebook Group) and on the main club Facebook page

Draws can be found on the NRF website under South Auckland Junior Football. Team Coaches and Managers are responsible for checking where and when each team is playing and informing the team. Fixtures are confirmed Friday evenings so make sure there have been no changes.

Cancellations are generally communicated from NRF to club admin and posted on the NRF Facebook page as soon as a decision between NRF & the Auckland Council has been made (in the case of bad weather throughout the week). Coaches & Managers of affected teams will be emailed to share the information with their teams. This can sometimes happen as late as early Saturday morning.

If you don't hear anything, assume it's ON!

Please do not contact club admins to ask if sessions are on prior to these times as we won't know and our phones get tied up, stopping us from getting updates out.
